Eric Kramer starts off our new series inspired by John Burke’s book No Perfect People Allowed. He discusses the essential soil ingredients required for growth. Further, we are encouraged to understand that even though none of us is perfect, we all share in God’s image. Not only does God see some of himself in us, we need to also see some of God — something of extreme worth — in each other as well.

(The body of Christ, that is!!) In this week-after-Easter teaching, Tim Howard applies the way of Jesus to the body of folks who are Beyond. Jesus’ ministry gives us a model to follow; Beyond’s core values help us focus on following that model. Personal reports from J.R. Baker’s “Jesus Freaks” small group (by video since they all work on Sunday) and from Eddie Leaphart testify to different outworkings of our core values. Tim’s encouragement for all of us is to step up to the challenge of being a devoted Christ-follower.

In this Easter message, Eric Kramer, looks at how God has revealed Himself in creation, in the conscience he placed within us and ultimately in his son Jesus. God has always taken the initiative to reach out to us. With his death and resurrection, Christ became God’s sacrificial invitation to come back in to right relationship with him — to come back home.

Art Morris breaks down the attitudes and expectations of the people present on the first “Palm Sunday”. The teachings, taken together, are a challenge to infuse an attitude of worship into everything we do.
